We are excited to introduce a new format for Fall Field Lacrosse in 2011. Through collaborative efforts of all field and box associations from Kingston to Montreal, the Eastern Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse House League has emerged. Administered by the Ottawa Nemesis Minor Field Lacrosse Club (member of the Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League – OMFLL) and through guidance provided by a Steering Committee comprised of representatives from local box and field associations, this Network will realize a formal house league structure focussing on skill development combined with game play.
The goals of this Network of associations are:
- to extend the box lacrosse season by keeping sticks in the hands of players for an additional three months;
- to develop field lacrosse skills of Eastern Ontario, Gatineau and Montreal area players;
- to grow the sport of field lacrosse in Eastern Ontario, Gatineau and Montreal areas;
- to provide continued development of high school players;
- to provide exposure to field lacrosse for those players who do not have access to a high school team
